1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, tablet, or smartphone by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function properly and to provide information to the website owners.

In addition to traditional cookies, a website may also use similar technologies such as localStorage, which stores data locally in your browser. In this policy, the term "cookies" also refers to these similar technologies.

2. Cookies We Use

Interscreening only uses strictly necessary (functional) cookies. We do not place tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies without your consent.

Name Type Purpose Storage Retention
cookie_consent Functional Stores your cookie preferences so that the cookie banner is not shown again on every visit. localStorage Indefinite (until you clear browser data)

What we do not use

Our website does not use:

  • Google Analytics or similar tracking services
  • Advertising cookies or remarketing pixels
  • Social media cookies or tracking pixels
  • Third-party cookies from external parties

3. Optional Analytics Cookies

If you give your consent via the cookie banner, we use self-hosted Matomo for anonymous visitor statistics. Matomo runs on our own servers, which means no data is sent to third parties. IP addresses are anonymised and cookieless tracking is enabled by default where possible.

When Matomo is activated, the following cookies are placed:

Name Type Purpose Retention
_pk_id.* Analytics Stores a unique visitor ID for anonymous visitor statistics. 13 months
_pk_ses.* Analytics Stores session data to group page visits within a single session. 30 minutes
_pk_ref.* Analytics Stores the referring website through which the visitor arrived at the site. 6 months

Matomo cookies are only placed after your explicit consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or clearing your browser data.

4. Managing Cookies

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Below you will find instructions for the most commonly used browsers:

  • Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and stored data

Please note: blocking functional cookies may result in some parts of the website not functioning correctly, for example the cookie banner being shown again on every visit.

To clear localStorage data, you can use the "Clear site data" or "Clear browsing data" option in your browser.

5. Changes

We reserve the right to amend this cookie policy, for example when we add new functionality or when legislation requires changes. Updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
